Blake's first laugh

Blake is such a happy baby. She smiles non-stop and has so much to say. When she gets really excited she shakes her hands and squeals, but we had yet to hear a laugh. I knew we were getting close, but on Friday afternoon (September 21, 2012) I got a true laugh from our little love bug!

She was laying on my legs as I leaned over kissing her nose she let out a giggle and the biggest squeal. Here is an audio recording of it! So glad I got it on tape! (Didn't want to throw her off with the camera in her face, so its audio only, first laugh and squeal around 20 seconds):

And here are some videos of her talking away after her laugh:

And she's over!

On September 12, 2012 Blake was busy working on her tummy time when she figured she had enough of being on her belly and rolled over onto her back!

Blake- Month 3

Dear Blake,

Whoa baby girl! Slow down! Time is going too fast and you are growing in so many ways. I just want to freeze time and enjoy this period of rolly polly chatty smiliness that we are in.

You have grown leaps and bounds this month. You are so curious and interested in the world around you.

This month you had your 2 month doctors appointment (yes a few days late). Met mommy's friend's baby. Spent some time cooking out and enjoying the end of summer. And most importantly met all of mommy's siblings and friends!

You went on your first plane ride. Did an incredible job. Went on your first dress shopping experience. Went on your first car ride that lasted more than 30 minutes (and slept the whole time!)

You actually got to get in a pool and go swimming. You were intrigued.

You met Aunt Annie and fell in love. Met Uncle T and Aunt Erica and talked about a pet pig. You saw Aunt Lulu (Kelsey) again and had just as much fun this time around. You snuggled and played with Gigi and rocked on the porch with Big H.

You met mommy's goddaughter, best friends, the twins, Tampa neighbors, old babysitting clients and got to see Grandad again.

Once again you were in the center of the action. You love knowing what is going on around you. You started talking more, smiling often and are definitely recognizing voices.

You have found your hands and your tongue and can play with either for hours! You have become interested in toys and smile when around them. You still love to read.

You learned to growl like a Gator and meow like a Tiger and got to cheer on both teams during the opening of college football!

You moved to your crib and mommy cried because you weren't next to me anymore, but impressed us every night with your acrobatics.

You are sleeping a bit more and even graced us with a few one wake up nights. While its nice to have an extra hour or two of sleep I do miss the time we spend together in the quiet dark.

As every month before you have blossomed in front of our eyes and drawn us in deeper and amplified our love and filled our hearts more than we could ever imagine.

We love you to the moon and back,
Mommy and Daddy

Updates
How big are you?
You started out the month at 10lbs 14oz and grew a whole pound in the month of August, finishing up the month at 11lbs 14oz!
Where did we go?
We went a lot of places this month! Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, on airplanes, in cars, the pool, shopping, to parties, and many more.
What did you do new?
Flew, visited, swam, traveled, and explored.
Who did you see?
Mommy's family and friends! Marissa, Tiffanie (and her whole family and fiance), Jess, Julie, Gigi, Big H, The Gibsons, Aunt Annie, Uncle T, Aunt Erica, Aunt Kelsey, Caroline, Kristen, Carlee, Grandad, and all the Tampa neighbors.
When did you sleep?
When you wanted to :) You slept in a pack and play in Tampa and did a great job but decided it was more fun to sleep horizontal than vertical in your bed so upon returning to Denver you had to move to your crib. You typically go to sleep at 9:30, wake up at 2-3, then again at 5-6 and sleep till 8-9. A few nights you slept till 4 or 5 and didn't wake up till 8-9, but that is not the norm. You nap when you want with some awake days and some sleepy days.

Smiles

Around 7 weeks your sleepy smiles and accidental grins became more real and as time has progressed they have grown bigger and bigger! We absolutely love the joy that spreads across your face when you see us.
