Today was a big day. It was Blake's 2 month well baby appointment!
The 2 month appointment was a little daunting for us as we knew vaccines would be involved. Now as a medical professional I am one who says to "Vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate. You have a vaccine for that? Great! Give it to my baby!" So that was not the concern. The concern was that Blake would cry with the shots. And cry out of pain. Something we had not dealt with and something no parent wants to hear.
When we got to the appointment Blake was an angel! Incredibly laid back and going with the flow. She had just fallen asleep when the nurse came in with the shots :( While she didn't fight it, she did scream and I cried and it sucked. She recovered relatively quickly after nursing but the rest of the day was spent snuggling with either Chris or I as she clearly wasn't feeling like herself.
We got a clean bill of health from the doctor and were thrilled to hear that she is growing perfectly and healthy as can be!
